Welcome back to Ordinary Time!!  This Sunday we celebrate the Second Sunday in Ordinary Time but we still reflect on the Baptism of Jesus and the testimony of St. John the Baptist.  How does all this connect with our New Year's resolutions?  Listen to find out more!!

What can we learn from the Epiphany of the Lord?  This time of revelation through the Wise Men from the East teaches us to journey, search and find Christ who transforms our lives!!  May this Christmas season be a time of searching for the Lord in our hearts and lives.  What shall we give Him when we find Him?

Happy New Year!!  As we begin the new calendar year we celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God during the Christmas season.  Mary is the perfect disciple and model for our faith lives.  She teaches us to ponder, reflect and serve.  May she always guide us to her son, Christ---our Lord and Saviour!!

Fr. John concludes the series with a reflection on Joy as we prepare for Christmas. Christ's joy never fades and we need to live that joy each day of our lives!!

Merry Christmas!!  As we celebrate the gift of Christ this joyous season we also celebrate how the incarnation, God becoming one of us, changes who we are!!  Jesus came to transform us and set us on the path to heaven.  It begins with his birth and through the Christmas story---we can discover how to live each day as faithful disciples!

Fr. John continues this special series reflecting on the GIFT OF LOVE that we receive in Advent. Although this is Gaudete Sunday---the Sunday of Joy, Fr. John wants to end the series with joy that leads to Christmas.  In this reflection, Fr. John invites us to discover real love in our lives that only Christ can give and share with us.  Our love must go beyond ourselves as pure gift expecting nothing but goodness for the sake of others.

As we approach the Fourth Sunday of Advent, we are presented with the powerful role of St. Joseph.  Not through words but through actions of faithfulness, love and discipleship, Joseph responds to the angel who speaks to him in a dream.  St. Joseph reminds us that our faith is rooted in actions and service for the sake of the Gospel.  How are we signs of God's love in our world today?

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas!!  Hopefully we are taking the time to make straight the pathways of the Lord.  In the Gospel this weekend, John the Baptist sends his disciples to see if Jesus is the one they have been waiting for.  Jesus responds--look at what you see and hear.  Where do we see and hear Jesus in our world today and do people see and hear Jesus through us?
