Fr. John continues the series with this second homily reflecting on the responsibility we have with the talents, gifts and resources that have been given to us by God to be shared. Our faith communities are really families always welcoming and encouraging others to join on the pilgrimage to heaven. Fr. John even talks about the old tv comedy CHEERS!! - a place where everybody knows your name!

This weekend we celebrate Christ the King---his crown is one of thorns and his throne a cross.  The gospel this weekend reminds us of how we are called to live our faith in the world--seeking the hungry, thirsty, naked, sick and imprisoned, bringing them grace and light.  In that action of service we find Christ himself.  We will be judged by the Lord based on these actions.

We are stewards and caretakers of what the Master has given us.  Our very lives, talents and abilities have been entrusted to us.  What have we done to grow, share and truly live?  When the Lord returns---will we be joyful and ready to embrace Him?  Listen to find out more!

The gospel calls us to always be ready to proclaim the Good News and welcome Jesus when he calls us home.  Are we awake to see the Lord in our lives and as a Church--are we awake to share the Gospel with the world?  Listen to find out more!

Fr. John begins this new message series sharing the fact that the mission of the Church is the essence of its existence---not an add on or something extra we do. The Church does not have a mission---it is mission. The mission is to proclaim and witness the Gospel to those who do not know or have forgotten Christ and to those who do not welcome it.

Jesus offers us the two basic commandments that defines our entire faith.  It is simple and obvious to us but at the same time challenging.  How can we commit ourselves to a life of faith?  We need each other.  Listen for more!

This weekend's Gospel includes a coin and an amazing response Jesus offers in an attempt by the Pharisees and the Herodians to entrap him in what seems to be an impossible scenario.  Christ, full of grace, gives the perfect answer.  How does this change how we live?  Listen to find out more.
