This Sunday we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord and the call for each of us to be missionaries of the kingdom. We have the honour and responsibility to continue the mission of Christ to transform the world. Our parish communities are places to help us be disciples who reach out to all. This can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit!!

The gospel for the 6th Sunday of Easter invites us to shift from celebration to mission following the Word of Christ with the Holy Spirit---who will teach us everything we need to live the Good News. The question is---will we choose to follow the Lord? May we do our best every day!!

Being present and attentive to things happening around us and to us transform our lives---whether that is going to a concert, a baseball game or even cutting the grass!! Being present to moments help us---Let us stay close to the Risen Lord and love as he has loved.
