Fr. John concludes the message series inviting us to be witnesses of joy when sharing about the Risen Lord. Our joy, compassion and love will bring people closer to Christ. We need to plan and then go together making the resurrection real today!!

Come Holy Spirit!!  As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday we rejoice in the grace and power of the Holy Spirit.  How does the Holy Spirit help us stay close to Jesus and become true disciples of joy in our world today?  Listen and find out!

This Sunday we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord and the call for each of us to be missionaries of the kingdom.  We have the honour and responsibility to continue the mission of Christ to transform the world.  Our parish communities are places to help us be disciples who reach out to all.  This can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit!!

The gospel for the 6th Sunday of Easter invites us to shift from celebration to mission following the Word of Christ with the Holy Spirit---who will teach us everything we need to live the Good News.  The question is---will we choose to follow the Lord?  May we do our best every day!!

In the second homily of this series Fr. John reminds us that in order for us to be transformed by the Risen Lord we need to stay in the moment of Easter.  Being present and attentive to things happening around us and to us transform our lives---whether that is going to a concert, a baseball game or even cutting the grass!!  Being present to moments help us---Let us stay close to the Risen Lord and love as he has loved.

Fr. John begins this message series looking to make the Easter gift of the resurrection real and relevant for each of us here and now.

Jesus gives us a new commandment in the Gospel this weekend---one that must be lived out by each of us to change the world through the gift of the resurrection!!

Jesus appears again to the disciples reminding them not to fall back to their former lives but to be fishers of people sharing the gift of the resurrection!!  What difference does the resurrection mean for us and how does it change our lives?  Who is responsible for sharing this GREAT NEWS?  Hint---we are!!
