This coming weekend we celebrate the World Day of Prayer for the Sick (also Our Lady of Lourdes) on the 6th Sunday of Ordinary Time.  Jesus has compassion, heals and brings us new life.  May we seek the healing we need so that we can be the disciples in our world today.  Listen to how that happens!!

We need to trust and respond like Jonah, Simon, Andrew, James and John in the readings today. When we encounter Jesus we change direction and live differently---focusing on what is eternal and that which never fades away.

The Search for Christ - Homily #2

Fr. John continues the message series reminding us that we are brought to Christ by others around us. Eli guides Samuel to God in the first reading while John the Baptist leads Andrew to Jesus and then Andrew brings his brother Peter to Christ. May we always be aware of those around us who can truly help us encounter Jesus and may we bring others to Jesus by what we say and do.
